Terms and conditions
While Expression Australia strives to be as flexible as possible, certain guidelines are necessary to ensure clarity and avoid misunderstandings between Expression Australia and participants.
Refunds
Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable between courses. Refunds are only considered in exceptional circumstances if contacted within 48 hours of booking. Refunds are subject to an administrative fee of $50 per booking.
Attendance
Participants must maintain an 80% attendance rate to receive a Certificate of Achievement. If running late, participants must notify Expression Australia with at least two hours' notice via the designated contact method provided in the course materials.
Cancellation
Cancellations made 5 to 10 working days prior to the course start date will incur a 50% cancellation fee. Cancellations made within 5 working days of the start date will be charged 100% of the course fee.
Participants are encouraged to arrange personal cancellation insurance, as Expression Australia cannot refund fees due to cancellations initiated by participants. If Expression Australia cancels a course, a full refund will be issued within 28 days.
Rescheduling
Participants may reschedule without penalty by providing at least 5 working days' notice before the course start date. However, rescheduling opportunities depend on course availability and may not always be possible.
Reimbursements
Expression Australia reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or reschedule courses with a minimum of 5 business days' notice if enrolment numbers are insufficient. Liability is limited to the refund or credit of registration fees. Expression Australia is not responsible for any additional costs incurred by participants (e.g., travel or accommodation).
No Shows
Participants who fail to attend without prior notice will be charged 100% of the course fee.
Charges
A 5% weekly late fee applies to overdue payments.
Participant Information
Expression Australia retains participant details solely for administration, research, and promotional purposes. This data is handled securely and used only for Expression Australia's communications.
Photos, Videos, Recordings, and Quotes
Photos, videos, or recordings may be taken during courses for promotional purposes. Participants who prefer not to be included should notify Expression Australia prior to the course.
Course Information
While we strive to provide accurate course information, Expression Australia reserves the right to change course details, including venue and trainer assignments, if necessary. Participants will be notified of changes via the website, email, or post.
Disruptive Behaviour
Participants must respect trainers and peers. Disruptive or inappropriate behaviour may result in a warning or removal from the course. Refunds for dismissed participants are at Expression Australia's discretion and are not guaranteed.
Complaints
Participants with concerns should address them to the course leader during breaks or after sessions. Immediate issues affecting the class may be raised during the session if directly related to the topic. Expression Australia will strive to resolve complaints promptly.
Supervision (Under 16s)
For participants under 16 years of age:
Supervision is provided only during course hours. Parents/guardians must instruct minors to remain on the premises, including during breaks. Written consent is required for participants under 16 to leave the premises during course hours. Once off-premises, responsibility lies with the participant. Participants are discouraged from engaging in activities that may cause damage or accidents during breaks (e.g., using footballs, skateboards). These terms ensure a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment for all participants.
